Dog Training:
In home dog training services. We’ll work towards your dog training goals with plans to prevent unwanted behaviors from occurring and create training plans to teach new skills.
For in-home training, we’ll typically meet outside without your dog to talk about your goals and your dog. This gives us some time to set priorities and find a starting point. Then we’ll move into training activities, indoors or outdoors, and give your dog breaks inside while we talk and plan the next activity. Some of our time might be on temporary adjustments to help your dog be successful, we will start training and get right to it.
Day to day life with your dog is more important for learning than our time together. I encourage families to reach out with email or video updates throughout the week so that we can make many small changes towards our training goals rather than only making changes during or after our sessions together.
Who Benefits From Training?
Some families are looking for help with a puppy learning about house training, life skills and focus. Others are wanting help with a challenge such as a dog who barks or lunges on walks. We can use foundation skills, environment changes, and specific training activities to work towards succcess.
If you’re wanting a quick fix, I might have it! But usually we have to give your dog learning opportunities to get a behavior change.
How Do I Start?
Send an email! Share a little about your dog and goals. From there we can look at training options, learning styles, schedules and make a plan. Families start with an evaluation/introduction session and from there we can do additional single sessions, package options, or group class. Some families start directly into group class.
